OUR STORY

Our story started in 1973 when Leon Parnham with an entrepreneurial spirit and passion for innovation pioneered the concept of a contoured therapeutic pillow – the Tranquillow – in his living room.

With the development of new product ranges and a business model focussed on improving health and comfort, the next logical step was to start supplying Australian Health practitioners with Clinic Supplies to help their patients and clients. This ethos of only supplying Health Professionals continues today with our products being the preferred choice of Chiropractors, Physiotherapists, Osteopaths, Allied Health Professionals and Surgical and Mobility Suppliers. 

In 2006 the business expanded into the ergonomic and massage categories with the addition of RelaxHouse. RelaxHouse soon expanded further into a value driven Furniture and Homewares range which it currently is today. 

Following the success of RelaxHouse it became clear there was a need for the addition of another furniture brand to supply the high-end European furniture ranges that were being represented by Parnham Group. This saw the creation of Huset (meaning house in Danish) in 2012 and a new purpose-built showroom. Huset has seen the continual addition of major brands to its portfolio including Muuto, Fermob, Norman Copenhagen and Ton. 

In 2018 Parnham Group moved into its current 6,000 m² distribution centre where consolidated warehousing for all brands has meant increased efficiency, speed and accuracy.

With increasing requests from designers, architects, and builders for a commercial range, Level was formed in 2019 to provide a service catering for the specific needs of commercial buyers. Level is now regarded as one of the premier suppliers to furniture trade customers in the country. 

Two 69 kW Solar systems were installed (one on each showroom roof) to make the showrooms and corporate services energy self-sufficient. At the same time two EV recharge units were added for customer and staff use. These systems have provided a total annual CO² Reduction of 59.4 metric tonnes.

We completed a major technical upgrade of systems and processes putting us in an even better position to meet the needs of all our Australian customers across all Brands.
